About the Capes

THE CAPES

The capes are completely customizable! When ordering a cape, please choose 2 cape colors (two sides, either solid or print), an emblem shape and an initial letter for the child. If you are ordering a non-reversible cape, please specify which side you would like the emblem/intial to go on.

The color of the emblem and initial letter is usually determined by the color of the cape you chose, if you prefer a different color, please let me know in your order details. For example, a red and blue cape with a shield. On the red side, the shield would be blue and the initial red. On the blue side the shield would be red and the initial blue.

Special note about the lightning bolt emblem, please do not assume the bolt will be gold (yellow). If you do not specify the color of the bolt, then I will use my judgement as to what color to make the bolt.

All the solid colors are made of poly-satin material so every cape is shiny.

All capes are hand cut and machine sewn. The emblems and initials are embroidered onto the capes.

All capes have a Velcro™ closure at the neck for safety. Cape should be placed on the child’s back, with the collar placed around the child’s neck and Velcro™ enclosure adjusted to the largest possible width around child’s neck.

Toddler capes, for ages 2 – 3 years, measure approximately 18” from neck to hem. Capes for the young child, ages 3 – 7 years, measure approx. 21” from neck to hem. Older child capes, ages 7-10 years, measure approx. 24" from neck to hem.
**Please remember measurements are approximate and vary as the fabric is handcut and sewn.

CARE OF THE CAPES 
Hand wash in warm water. Line dry. If necessary, iron on low heat.
